Every report answers four questions

The detail changes with the student. The structure does not.

  1. What happened?The topics, tasks and materials covered in the lesson.
  2. What went well?Progress, strengths and the moments that worked.
  3. Where is support needed?Errors, gaps and anything the student found hard.
  4. What happens next?Homework, resources and the plan for the next lesson.
